In 2005, OMEGA launched its Planet Ocean line, keeping in mind its maritime heritage. Today, the elegant OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer pays homage to OMEGA's diving watch heritage. This model features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a blue ceramic dial with Arabic numerals and a date window at 3 o'clock. The unidirectional bezel in blue ceramic, with an OMEGA Liquidmetal diving scale, is mounted on a 43.5mm stainless steel case. patented extendable folding clasp. The OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer is water resistant to 600 meters (60 bars / 2000 feet) and equipped with a helium valve. The OMEGA Master Chronometer Caliber 8900 at the heart of this watch is visible through the transparent case back. To obtain Master Chronometer certification, it had to pass eight rigorous tests established by METAS, the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology.
