In 1962, astronaut Wally Schirra launched OMEGA into orbit. Today, the Speedmaster \u201cFirst OMEGA in Space\u201d updates the original design of the pioneering watch.<\/p>\n
Reimagined in a new Sedna\u2122 gold case, the watch features a one-of-a-kind brown-colored polished ceramic bezel and a matte chromium nitride tachymeter scale.<\/p>\n
Its deep brown is also echoed by the counters and the timer which outline the central opaline silver dial.<\/p>\n
Like the applied indexes, the hands are all made of Sedna\u2122 gold and feature a half-alpha, half-baton design. The indexes and hour and minute hands are coated with Super-LumiNova and offer exceptional readability in low-light conditions.<\/p>\n
